Jacqueline KirkhamLearning Technologies Application Developer
A lifelong love of technology is what inspired Jacqueline to begin a career in education technology with the Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Learning in the fall of 2016. She is excited by the opportunities for increased access and engagement that technology can offer for students and faculty in higher education.
Jacqueline’s post-secondary career has been varied and allowed her opportunities to explore a number of diverse interests. She started her post-secondary career with a certification in esthetics in 2005. In 2007 she began a BA at VIU with the intention of becoming a high school English and Math teacher. Instead, she followed a passion for local history to McMaster University where she completed an MA (2012) and PhD (2017) in Canadian History.
Technology will not replace great teachers but technology in the hands of great teachers can be transformational.
Software is never finished
