Many of these organizations have emerged and developed in unique ways that take into account the Aboriginal market and clientele, employees and management, institutional design, community, and culture.Educational institutions, like VIU, can benefit from the lessons Aboriginal organizations have learned regarding the development - including the Indigenization - of their institutions.
